Who is Montyg?
Montyg is my artist name as a DJ, music producer, and event organiser. I create and perform a mix of drum & bass, breaks, experimental electronic, garage, and minimal techno — always with an ear for energy, emotion, and deep groove.
My sets are eclectic, genre-blending and built for dance floors, forests, rooftops, and everything in between.

Yes. I’ve independently released several tracks, focusing on creative freedom and direct connection with listeners. I’m always experimenting with my sound, and plan to release more structured EPs and collaborations in the future.
What is Lock-In?
Lock-In is a club night I founded to spotlight underground electronic music in diverse, intimate spaces. Since launching, it’s grown into an international project with events in:

• Bolivia
• And regular monthly nights in the UK
Lock-In focuses on vibe over hype — with carefully curated lineups, deep sounds, and a strong community of dancers, DJs and artists. It’s more than just a party — it’s a platform.
What is Wissett Festival?
Wissett Festival was a small-scale electronic music festival I founded with friends — a DIY, community-powered event focused on freedom, nature, and sound. It inspired a ripple effect, eventually evolving into:
• Bagfest
• Murky Forest
These gatherings have since taken on lives of their own — with passionate teams, loyal crowds, and that same ethos of connection through music.
Do you play live or only produce?
Both. I’m a live DJ and producer, and I’ve played:
• Club nights across Europe & Latin America
• Forest festivals and off-grid raves
• Rooftop takeovers and community events
• My own events through Lock-In and others
My sets are typically built around energy, transitions, deep cuts, and unreleased edits — with plenty of room for improvisation.
